The American Department of Energy (DOE) organizes a housing design competition for students named Solar Decathlon, which is based on the relationship between innovation and architecture. As a result of certain evaluations in the competition, the first of which was held in 2002, 20 finalists are determined and these finalists are entitled to build their projects. Bosphorus Team, which consists of ITU and YTU students, is the only team representing Turkey in the finals. The team participated in the competition with the ReYard project, which will treat its own waste with biological waste treatment systems using micro algae and turn it into fertilizer for use in its landscape, and gained the right to build its projects in Benguerir, Morocco. Team Bosphorus, proudly representing our country, shared its work with us.
